Who is LNFMI?
Lake Nipigon Forest Management Inc. is a Forest Management Co-operative comprised of four local First
Nation Communities:
- Red Rock Indian Band
- Biinjitiwabik Zaaging Anishnabek
- Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek
- Animbiigoo Zaagi'igan Anishinaabek
LNFMI holds the Sustainable Forest Licence and is responsible for the oversite of all forestry activities that occur on the Lake Nipigon Forest.
LNFMI's Mission
LNFMI is firmly committed to sustainable forest management that enhances the socio-economic well- being of local and First Nation communities, while respecting the forest's biodiversity, productivity and ecological processes.
